Bali develops air adventure for travellers
JAKARTA (indo.com): Bali's tourism operators are now
introducing air adventure with a helicopter flights over
the Island of the Gods for travellers.
Bali Adventure Tours' President Ni Made Yanie said that
offering air adventure through chopper flights is a new
attraction expected to attract foreign travellers, further
adding to the already impressive range of facilities on
offer.
The chopper for the air adventure is the Robinson 44 Type.
The air adventure will allow travellers to view Bali's gorgeous
panorama from above, Ni Made Yanie told Antara News Agency
in Denpasar recently.
For the first phase, the air adventure will cover tourism
attractions around Kuta Beach, with a rate of US$41 per
eight minutes.
Once a lonely little village on the road from Denpasar to
Bukit Peninsula, Kuta is now the tourist mecca of Bali,
popular mainly among the young and adventurous. Coconut
trees line the sandy beach as far as the eye can see towards
the north, and down as far as the runway of Ngurah Rai airport
to the southwest. Sunset in Kuta is most breathtaking.
The air adventure currently operated by Bali Adventure Sky
Tours is also offered to domestic travellers as long as
they pay US$41 for one flight, with the maximum of three
persons per flight.
The US-made Robinson helicopter has a reliable engine, with
relatively cheap and easy maintenance. It also has a high
level of safety.
