DENPASAR (indo.com): At least 200 participants from 22 countries are taking part in the Livestock and Fisheries Expo and Forum at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) in Nusa Dua. The event kicked off on July 17 and will run to July 19, 2002. It is aimed at preparing for the challenges for livestock and fishery industries presented by AFTA 2003 and current trends towards globalization.

President Megawati opened the event on July 17, and will present awards to 12 people and companies for their contributions to Indonesian livestock.

This elaborate event is sponsored by PT Napindo Media Ashatama in corporation with Allied Media Worldwide Network, and is supported by the Indonesian Ministry for Agriculture, The Indonesian Ministry for Marine and Fishery, The Central Information Board for poultry husbandry among others.
