DENPASAR (indo.com): Singapore International Airlines (SIA)has awarded scholarships to more students in Bali, reflecting its care about education in the Island of Gods.

Through its 'Human Resource Development Program', SIA awarded scholarships to 22 students from the Higher School of Tourism Studies (STP), the Bali Polytechnic and the School of Arts (ISI) on November 13, 2003.

The scholarships were awarded in a special ceremony during a private dinner at the residence of Bali's Governor Dewa Made Beratha on November 13, 2003.

Under the program, SIA also awarded scholarships to 28 students at the three schools in Bali last November when the program was first launched.

SIA's 'Human Resource Development Program' is supported by network of its local passengers and cargo agents. SIA collects approximately US$118 from the annual contribution made by the passenger and cargo agents for the scholarship program.

The recipients have been screened based on several aspects, such as area of study, academic excellence, financial condition and residence.
