Bali to host APEC TWG Conference


DENPASAR (indo.com): Bali will host the Asia Pacific Economic Corporation Tourism Working Group (APEC TWG) Conference. The international conference will be held from November 28 to December 1, 2003.

The meeting, to be attended by representatives from 21 countries, will provide a good momentum to boot tourism business in global markets, particularly in Bali.

Local daily, Bali Post, reported that topics to be discussed at the meting would include tourism standardization and travel barriers faced by APEC's member countries.

Indonesia was approved to extend APEC TOSS Project Stage III related to tourism occupational skill standard in an APEC's conference held three years ago.

A series of international meetings had been successfully held in Bali. This provides an evidence that Bali is a safe destination and worth a visit.
