It's time to go shopping in Bali

If you are traveling to Bali, do not miss going shopping in Kuta or Legian. Many shops there sell various suffs, such as beachwear, t-shirts, pants, cloths, shoes, leather goods, seashells and trinkets at low prices.

However, it would be advisable for you to have bargaining skill when shopping there to get the best prices.

But if you do not like bargaining, then there are shopping centers like the Matahari Department Store or the Galeria Nusa Dua, where you can find a wide selection of handicrats items sold at fixed prices.

The number of tourists to Bali has dropped significantly due to last year's Bali Bombing and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) issue. But now with restored security in Bali following the government's tangible moves to arrest the perpetrators, there is no reason to worry about traveling to the Island of Gods.

Over the last several months, Bali has seen the increasing number of tourists, especially from Taiwan. They swarmed art shops in Kuta/Legian area in Sanur, various handicrafts villages, Sukawati market on the way to Ubud and in the town of Ubud. Taiwanese tourists have a passion for traditional Balinese handicrafts, such as antique and semi-antique furniture, paintings, delicately crafted gold and silver jewelry, wooden and stone carvings, masks, woven and dyed fabrics.
