DENPASAR (indo.com): Kintamani Agro - Tourism Project now underway is near completion. When start operation by the end of 2002, the agro - tourism project will provide an alternative place of interest for visitors to Bali.

The first stage of the project will focus on a wide range of vegetables, flowers and fruits.

Many travel agents shared the view that with its breathtaking sceneries and volcano backdrop, Kintamani is preferable destination for visitors to Bali. "With the developed agro-tourism project in the area, it is hoped that visitors to Kintamani will not only be treated to the beautiful panorama but also viewing how local farmers are engaged in cultivating the land," a spokesman for a travel agent said.

The project is expected to support the social and economic development of Balinese people.
