India potential tourism market for Bali

DENPASAR (indo.com): India can be potential tourist market for Bali, Bali's chapter of the Association of Indonesia Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) has said.

ASITA's Vice Chief Paul E. Talo, said that India has the population of up to 1 billion and 3 million of whom travel out of the country.

Paul said that Bali's chapter of ASITA and 11 Indian top travel agents held an interactive dialog at Raddin Hotel Sanur recently in response to the declining number of tourists to Bali in the post WTC terrorist attack.

The Indian travel managers, who arrived on February 11, 2002, visited several hotels including Nusa Dua, Sanur and Kuta before visiting Besakih, Tanah Lot and Mangwi.

Paul said that Bali tourism is expected to back to normal in June-July this year.
