Gilimanuk harbor temporarily closed for shipments

DENPASAR (indo.com): Gilimanuk harbour will stop operating the majority of shipments for 10 days over the Idul Fitri and Christmas holiday period. Shipments of basic needs, however, will continue to operate as usual.

Jembrana chief of transportation affair, Drs. Dewa Putu Tilem stated that the move was to ensure the comfort of those returning to their hometowns for the celebrations. He estimated the number of travelers would increase by around 5% over last year, necessitating a significant increase in the number of public transportation vehicles.

Gilimanuk harbor has been coordinating with Ketapang harbor on East Java to ensure the increase passenger flow goes smoothly.
