No donations to beggars, please....

img_line

Beggars will be always bothersome, cluttering around traffic lights, from all ages and both sexes. Standing in group under the traffic light, they wait for the light turning to red and when the light turn to red, they begin to saunter among motorists and asking for money. The sight is common in popular tourism sites in Bali.

Not only will they disturb the image of Island of the Gods but will also ruin the future of the kids who are initially forced to beg but then they enjoy doing so.

Some actions have been taken by Bali authorities to move the beggars out of the street. They have been seized from the street many times. Prior to sending No Donation to Beggars Please.the beggars to their respective origins, the authority gave them training so that they will not resort to begging anymore.

Even though actions have been taken to prevent people from coming to the street to beg, the beggars always return back to the street.

Asking people not to give donation to beggars is expected to cut the cycles of the beggars.

As shown in the picture, the Legian village authority asks people not to not give donations to the beggars.
