Indonesia’s Justice and Human Right Ministry release new policy concerning the length of stay in Indonesia for 30 days longer stay with extended VoA. Tourists and businesspeople from 64 countries may enjoy the extended stay in Indonesia up to 60 days.
Started from January 26 onwards, the immigration office will provide a 30 days Visa with the feasible extension of 30 days longer and the seven days visa is no longer available since that. Tourists and businesspeople who had seven days visa previously may extend the 30 days permit without having to leave the country.
The new regulation on visa permit is to ease the tourists who want to spend more time than 30 days in Bali for example; they may apply for maximum 30 days extension without having to leave the country.
Foreign tourists and businesspeople may apply for visa would receive 30 days permit for USD 25.
The new policy for the visa is aimed to attract more foreign tourists to travel and spend more time within the country and also to increase the foreign tourist numbers into Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Cultural and Tourism ministry targeted 7 million visitors to Indonesia for 2010 added about 0.6 million from last year’s 6.4 million visitors to Indonesia.
