The 2007  Kuta Karnival —
a Celebration of Life

The fifth year of Kuta Karnival is taking place from 1 to 9 September 2007 along the Kuta Beach and offers the visitors many various activities to fill the celebration of life.

It started in October 2003 to counteract the impact of the first Bali Bombing (October 12 2002) which almost destroyed  Bali's  tourism business.

The Kuta Karnival's schedule below will show what to be expected from this carnival. From colossal dance for opening ceremony, freeing the turtle hatchlings to the sea, Bali Paddle for Peace which more than 1000 surfers are expected to participate to this event, sand castles competition, dance competition, Skating, Music Festival, exhibition, food bazaar, beach games, Rubbish bin painting competition, Bali Islamic Festival and of course Kuta Karnival Parade ala Mardi Gras  as the closing ceremony which more than 2000 participants to be expected taking place.

The Kuta Karnival is a "Community" and "Recovery" initiative of the Kuta Small Business Association (KSBA) for the island of BALI

The Kuta Karnival is officially endorsed by the Government of BALI, Chamber of Commerce (KADIN) BALI, Bali Tourism Board (BTB)

The Kuta Karnival is supported by the local authorities Camat KUTA, Kelurahan Kuta & Legian & Seminyak, LPM Kuta & Legian & Seminyak, and the community representatives of the Villages of Kuta & Legian & Seminyak

The Kuta Karnival committee consists of representatives of all stake holders, and has been socialized within the government, the private sector and the community

• 10.00 - 17.00 Environment Display - Balawista Lifeguard Corner.
• 10:00 – 18:00 Free Skating - Skate Ramp Halfway Kuta Beach.
• 10:00 – 18:00 Beach Stalls - Halfway Kuta Beach. Food, drinks and merchandise on sale at a beachside bazaar.
• 15:00 – 18:00 Opening Ceremony - Balawista Lifeguard Corner. Includes colossal opening dance involving over 200 Balinese dancers.
• 10:00 – 18:00 Tebs Shocking Games - Halfway Kuta Beach. Tree-to-tree fox flying, bridge crossing and other action games.
• 16:00-17:00 Bali Paddle for Peace - Balawista Lifeguard Corner. Over 1,000 surfers expected to help form a "circle of peace."
• 17:00 – 18:00 Sea Turtle Hatchlings Release - Balawista Lifeguard Corner.
• 16:00 – 17:00 ISI Art Happening - Balawista Lifeguard Corner. An art show by Bali's Indonesian Art Institute.

• 06:00 – 10:00 Prima Fun Walk - Halfway Kuta Beach. Join the walk from the PrimaA drink stall down Jalan Melasti and Jalan Legian before returning to Kuta Beach.
