Now these unique treatments, including exfoliation massages, aromatherapy massage, facials and hair cream baths, are being brought to you at Vila Ombak. THE WATER (Please read this carefully): As Gili Trawangan has finite water resources, the management of Hotel Vila Ombak decided it would be inappropriate to access the community’s limited fresh water resources to allow guests to shower. That is why, the ground water piped through all pressurized water outlets for shower in the bathroom is saline (salty). The fresh water contained in the traditional earth-ware jar in the bathroom will allow our guests to lather up any soap or shampoo and to rinse any saline leavings after showering. Until few months ago, this water used to be hand carried from Lombok daily to meet the needs of our guests. Hotel Vila Ombak
has invested in special equipment to produce fresh water from the salt
water locally so that there is no more need to access the communities
limited fresh water resources. No hot water is available. |
