Ketut's Place, a family run guest house, located in the heart of the famous artist colony town of Ubud. Staying with Ketut's family villas will give the guest a chance to see and even experience the atmosphere of cultural and ritual life of a Balinese family and community. The guest rooms nestled in the backyard of the main compound are built in traditional architecture with enchanting woodcarving door and beautiful paintings in each room.

ACCOMMODATION

There are currently 9 rooms available. Each room has its own balcony with private bath room with cold and hot running water in some rooms.

Other room facilities include twin bed rooms, fan, shower, shaver outlet, en suite facilities, wash basin, in room safe, beautiful verandah and mosquito netting.

Non smoking rooms are also available.

Ketut has also completed his home stay with facilities for his guests comfort including swimming pool overlooking the Ubud river, restaurant,café, live music, car rental, bicycle rental and complete tour services.

BALINESE DINNER & COOKING CLASS

For the past 15 years Ketut and his wife have been cooking the provincial Balinese feast in order to enhance your experience of Bali. Traditional Balinese dinners are held every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and cooking class upon request.

By joining Ketut and his wife Wayan, the guest will be introduced to various distinctive Balinese dishes including 'betutu' smoked duck, 'sate lilit' minced and spiced meat wrapped around bamboo stick, which is quite different from the usual Indonesian sate.

Various vegetables including the famous 'lawar' jackfruit, 'jukut ares' the banana tree curry and 'packu' a form of fern and 'ketela pohon' tapioca.

All prepared as tasty vegetables. Drinks include Balinese rice wine and coffee served with 'sumping' a banana leaf wrapped around a sticky rice concoction with coconut palm sugar.

The dinning area is nicely decorated, creating an ambiance and an opportunity for the guests to have an insight into the Balinese way of life. In a compound, their beliefs, traditions and culture as explained by Ketut.

Inspired by many of his guests request to teach more about Balinese culinary Ketut than proceeded to start his Balinese cooking classes. To take part of this course only requires their full curiosity.
-Balinese buffet dinner: Rp 75.000 per person (minimum 5 person)
-Balinese cooking class: Rp 100.000 per person (minimum 5 person)
