DENPASAR (indo.com): The well-known Seniwati Gallery in Ubud will display works by female artists from October 4 to October 28, 2002. With the theme "This is Me", the exhibition will feature 24 artists of the Seniwati Group.

The paintings will be quite varied, as the artists have the freedom to interpret as they wish. They will range from the traditional Batuan style works of I Gusti Ayu Natiharimini and Gusti Ayu Yasning, to the self-portraits of Dewi Tjahjati, Muntiana Tedja and Ni Nyoman Sani, to the interpretative ideas of Gusti Ayu Suartini, Gusti Murniasih, and Taeko. A photo album of the paintings in this show is also available for anyone who cannot visit in person.

The" This is Me" exhibition is the final show in the series of exhibitions held at the Seniwati Showspace on Jalan Raya Ubud, due to the expiry of the lease. After holding twelve shows a year over the past eleven years, the staff are looking forward to taking a break and refocusing on the activities of the main Seniwati Gallery, including the permanent collection, the sale collection, children's activities, outside exhibitions and the library.
