Rajacraft.com holds Kemang Street Festival 2002

JAKARTA - Rajacraft.com, an online market place for Indonesian arts craft products, a business unit of indo.com, Indonesia's leading Internet travel technology company, supported by Kemang Merchant Community, and in cooperation with JakArt@2002, will once again hold the Kemang Street Festival, a festival featuring arts, handicrafts and culture in Kemang area on June 1, 2002 to coincide with Jakarta's 475th anniversary.

Repeating the success of the first Kemang Street Festival in 2001, with about 50,000 visitors, 100 vendors being involved and with programs partly contributed by expatriates, the Second Kemang Street Festival is being organized with the objective of raising and strengthening the position of Kemang as one of the arts and handicrafts centers in Jakarta. The event, which will be a blend of arts, culture, handicrafts and leisure, serves as a promotional media for Kemang area to international community.

The Kemang Street Festival will features a wide range of programs including Parades; Bazaars to be participated in by various parties of different ventures that number almost 250 vendors, either those domiciling in Kemang area/Kemang community or others from beyond Kemang area; Arts Shows, a program to be presented either in front of the Indonesian Banking Institute or on the street will be contributed by various parties including JakArt@2002, Expatriate Clubs, Kemang community and the surrounding area; Arts Classes, visitors to the Kemang Street Festival will also enjoy various arts classes available like painting, batik, ceramic making, photography, graphic design, flower arrangement and so fort; Contests, a variety of contests will be held including spontaneous Photography, penjor making and painting contest for children.

The KemangStreet.com will be targeted to promote the Kemang area as a source of culture and arts from Indonesia more intensively. All vendors taking part in the Kemang Street Festival 2002 will be entitled to participation and promotion through the KemangStreet.com.
